We are delighted to welcome the skills of Taeko Masuda, a licensed professional kimono dresser to Connections for the the first of a series of KIMONO workshops.
WE OFFER A RATHER UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACH to the ART OF KIMONO. NO DRESSING UP & NO SELFIES NO PRODUCT SALES NO SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION Instead we hope to learn the hows and whys of the many components of the KIMONO itself and the symbolism and at times hidden messages of the styles and fabrics worn. The instructor will lead an interactive workshop in which the construction of the wearing will be shown and the mysteries discussed. It is hoped that at the end of the workshop you will leave not only clearer but wanting more knowledge and understanding of this unique Japanese art. |
